Dr. Tracy Walker received her bachelors degree from West Virginia University and completed her doctor of veterinary medicine at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. There she focused her studies on large animal medicine and surgery. Upon completion of her degree, she remained at the University for advanced clinical training. Dr. Walker was raised in our community and has returned to West Virginia to care for both large and small animals. She is a current member of WVVMA, AVMA, AAEP and AABP. Dr. Walker spends her spare time with her Welsh Corgi, Luna and enjoys horseback riding and downhill skiing.
Client Care Coordinator Micky Messer has been a leading member of our veterinary care team since 1992. She began helping pets and clients receive excellent service as receptionist and now uses her experience assisting with office management. Micky enjoys spending time with her two daughters, Tessa and Shae, and her family, which includes her cat Freckles. An avid reader, she is also a vocalist and serves on her church's Praise Team as well as teaching children's church and assisting with recovery classes..
Dr. Jay Crissman, a native of West Virginia, received his Bachelors Degree from West Virginia University and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Ohio State University in 1974. Dr. Crissman established the Beverly Pike Veterinary clinic in 1974 and has been caring for our community's pets from that time. Dr. Crissman is a former President and current member of the WVVMA and member of the AVMA. His personal interests include organized veterinary medicine and restoring antique automobiles. When asked about his favorite aspect of the practice, he quickly replied that while we are in the business of caring for pets, he also thoroughly enjoys the people they bring with them.
Receptionist Shellie Hohl
Shellie and her husband, Joe, are formerly of Ohio. She joined our team in September 2008 as the front desk receptionist. Shellie enjoys her two dogs, JB and Maicee, and loves gardening.
Veterinary Assistant Amy Dewitt has been a part of our veterinary health care team since June 2006. Her love of people and their pets help her provide compassionate and caring service. Amy shares her free time with her family and her dog Nicki.
Veterinary Assistant Robin Butcher has been at BPVC since May 2006. Robin has a special interest in critical care patients, assisting in surgical procedures and pain management. Robin is an avid pet owner. She enjoys spending her free time with her kids, Sydnee and Lane, and horseback riding with her husband, Jeff.
